Limp Bizkit

In September 2000, American nu-metal band Limp Bizkit filmed the iconic music video for their hit single "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)" atop the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Just five days before September 11, 2001, the band won Best Rock Video at the MTV Video Music Awards for the visual, prompting World Trade Center management to send frontman Fred Durst a letter and fruit basket thanking the band for featuring the landmark. Durst received the letter on September 10, 2001, merely one day before the terrorist attacks destroyed the towers. Following the tragedy, the video was pulled from heavy television rotation as both the network and band members felt it was too painful to watch, leaving the project remembered as the final major music video filmed on top of the Twin Towers.
